- SIERRA BRAVO’S MISSION AND INTENT
Classified Site Sierra Bravo, Colorado’s mission is the collection of situational reports from the main 48 states, and the main line of delegation from government and military commanders in the event of NUCLFASH.
NUCFLASH refers to the detonation[s] or possible detonation[s] of [a] nuclear weapon[s] and a consequent risk of an outbreak of nuclear response[s].
The gathering of situational reports, via emergency underground landline communication, from major military locations. I.e. casualty [civilian and military] estimates, damage estimates, fallout information in the event of nuclear war, or the nation’s nuclear arsenals self-destruction [the latter added after the EP-1’s development], and estimated continuity of casualties from radiation poisoning and fallout.
The Delegation from government and military commanders to units. Classified Site Sierra Bravo’s main purpose post-NUCFLASH is the delegation from the surviving leadership of the government to its military personnel. Via the emergency underground landline communications, and to see that each state carries out its given orders.
- REPORT
The EP-1’s development here at Classified Site Sierra Bravo, Colorado had completed development, and per Secretary of Defenses orders was relocated to a classified site in Alaska. The purpose of this device was to house a link that connects all nuclear weapons. Efforts to remove the nuclear arsenal of the US, NATO, and other allies had isolated those of hostile nations, i.e. Iran, Pakistan, North Korea, The Russian Federation, and China.
Before the removal of the US, NATO, and other allies’ nuclear arsenals, the EP-1 was reported as Empty Quiver [stolen] via Russian cells after its delivery. By 1130 Mountain Standard Time, the DOD reported countdown detonations across the nation’s active nuclear arsenal. Emergency disablement of the nation’s nuclear arsenal was authorized but lacked sufficient time to respond. Failure to deactivate the nuclear arsenal became evident by 1145 MST, and at 0001 MST detonations were reported across the nation. What follows is the report of the damage and success of federal and military humanitarian responses.
Government and military locations from 48 states have reported in. All locations around the afflicted areas of NUCFLASH have failed to do so. Major remaining military locations and state governments are awaiting the President’s directive and are working to follow premeditated COG plans.
Washington, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida have suffered massive casualties and damages from NUCFLASH.
- 693,500+ civilian casualties & 30,000+ military casualties at the events of NUCFLASH.
- 1,000,000+ civilian casualties and 40,000+ military casualties are expected to perish of radiation poisoning and/or fallout by day two.
- 3,000,000+ civilian casualties and 120,000+ military casualties are expected to perish of radiation poisoning and/or fallout by day three.
- Request for continued casualty reports have been received and another Damage Report will follow once estimations have been calculated.
Before the event of NUCFLASH, Bangor and King’s Bay reported their Ohio Class Submarines were dispatched from port following the EP-1’s disappearance, with their nuclear payloads detonating far from shore in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Nuclear weapons awaiting decommissioning and disarment have been reported to have not detonated. Nellis AFB, Nevada, and Kirtland AFB, New Mexico have not suffered any damages or casualties. Pantex, Texas, site of nuclear dismantlement has also reported no detonations. Efforts have been made to further secure the nuclear weapons awaiting disarment?
Damages have yet to be calculated. Infrastructure is expected to be damaged/destroyed around bases housing nuclear weapons and nearby communities. Inclusive of: Bangor Naval Port, & Seattle, Washington; Warren Air Force Base, Colorado, Wyoming, & Nebraska; Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota; Whiteman Airforce Base, & Warrensburg, Missouri; Malmstrom & Great Falls Montana; King’s Bay Naval Port, & Kingsland Georgia; and Shreveport, & Barksdale Louisiana.
Of the damage expected, the EMPs from NUCFLASH have affected and disrupted electronics and the power grid in the aforementioned locations, and many areas of the US-Canadian Border. Some EMP-shielded devices remain functional at several military and government locations within range of the EMP.
Buildings, roads, and highways are expected to be damaged in the Light Damage Zones to the Severe Damage Zones of each nuclear detonation.
Each detonation was a Ground Burst, resulting in a lower blast wave radius; but a greater local fallout, radioactive debris, and crater formation. A lethal radiation radius of at least one mile; resulting in 100% casualties within one mile of the hypocenter[s].
Fallout and radiation carried by the last updated weather conditions from each site indicate a northeastern trajectory of Bangor WA; Malmstrom AFB MT; Minot ND, Warren AFB; and Whiteman AFB MO. A southeastern trajectory from King’s Bay GA and Barksdale LA. Radiation is expected to spread with expected wind changes in the following days. As seen in the attached map, geography will limit some of the spread from some sites, and allow an ease of spread at others. Casualties in the Caribbean are to be expected from fallout and Radiation Poisoning.
Previous instructions from the Pentagon have been received and are being delegated. Calvary Scouts have been dispatched to surviving communities, where telecoms and other means of communication are offline; excluding areas of expected high radiation and fallout.
Instructions for civilians and government officials to remain indoors for a minimal 48-hour quarantine; those closer to the hypocenters will receive longer quarantine instructions; for local law enforcement and community governments to begin rationing supplies and resorting to “primitive” methods of survival; for all fresh foods and drinks to be disposed of; and to prepare defenses in case of raiding and pillaging are being carried out.
Under Directive 41 from the Secretary of Agriculture; the obtaining and allocation of plastic-sealed topsoil and other crop resources for crop production before canned supplies are depleted are being carried out.
Presighted government caches have been notified and are awaiting local leadership’s instructions for distribution. Orders for each cache to remain on high alert and low visibility have been dispatched and received with authorization of lethal force if needed.
The emergency landline Communication network has also been given a priority status among the states afflicted by EMP. Military units have been dispatched to provide an excavation and status report for each underground landline and to provide repairs if needed.

Players on the board
As of The Samhain Terror (2035)

Alyeska.
The superpower of the Western Hemisphere. Born of the collapsed U.S.A. and Canadian governments.
Alyeska began as a unification of the Alaskan US State and the Yukon Canadian Province. In 2021 the nation closed off its borders to the never-ending influx of survivors and consolidated and compartmentalized itself into a fragile stability. By the events of WEEKS Book One, the nation is on the Manifest Destiny path to reclaim what was lost and rebuild the world.
Between the events of WEEKS Books One and Two, Alyeska was successful in annexing the entire former province of British Columba.
Across the Bering Strait into the eastern stretches of Siberia, Alyeska claimed territory. Though much of the state’s interests in this province remain a mystery.
The Canadian Confederacy “CC”
A series of colonies that came into formation when Alyeska closed its borders. People, Canadians and the influx of refugees from the USA condensed into many colonies spread across the former Canadian state.
Over time, these colonies connected into a confederation, organized into Hubs of command and satellite outposts. There are five Hubs of centralized command and numerous outposts, chief of which is Yellowknife.
While not a superpower, Alyeska, the Canadian province, boasts an extensive rail network developed in the post-apocalyptic world. The Confederacy also possesses a reliable pharmaceutical industry based on natural remedies harvested from the Candiano wilderness.
The CC also contains a pool of professional skills and laborers, made possible by the influx of survivors from the lower 48 US states and the closed Alaskan borders. These experts in diverse fields serve as an essential foundation of leadership, labor, and skills used to build and stabilize the confederacy.
