I picture my creative works as a whole as a hotel. Each book is its separate room. You check out from reality, and into the story I’ve crafted. Sometimes, hotel stays are only overnight, i.e. my short stories and smaller works. Other times, hotel stays are for a few days or weeks, i.e. my novels.
